Nice to meet you, we’re Kaneko – a small independent fashion brand currently located in Tbilisi, Georgia. The brand currently includes only four people, including two founders: Mikhail Kaneko – a japanese/russian trans man, and his partner Elisabeth Kaneko.
We started in 2017 by making accessories and
headwear fully on self-funding. Slowly gaining
recognition and customer respect, we moved towards clothing making in 2020. In 2022 we moved to Georgia, where we set up our new workshop.

We use carefully selected high-quality natural fabrics. Linen, cotton, and wool are the most frequently used fabrics in our clothing. To avoid waste of materials, some of our items are released via the preorder system, and our stock items are available in very small quantities.

Our biggest sources of inspiration are historical fashion, nature, architecture, and art.

Kaneko was founded on the values and principles of inclusiveness and cultural understanding. We believe that fashion is a form of expression and should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, race, or body type. We strive to create clothes that are inclusive and represent the diversity of the world.
